Troubleshooting your install
Benson not verifying, or no data in your dashboard? These are the usual culprits, most likely first.
If the setup wizard hasn't turned green, or your dashboard is quiet, work through these in order. They're the same checks the wizard suggests after 90 seconds.
Your Tag Manager container isn't published#
Tags only reach shoppers after Submit → Publish. Preview mode (Tag Assistant) shows the tag to you alone, and Benson ignores preview traffic.
Shopify: the app embed isn't saved#
In the theme editor, App embeds → Benson must be on, and then you need to click Save. The theme editor's own preview doesn't count as live traffic.
Your store is serving a cached page#
Caching plugins and CDNs can keep the old page for a while. Purge the cache, then open your store again.
A security policy is blocking the script#
If your store sets a Content-Security-Policy, allow Benson's script and API hosts:

Blockers in your browser can stop new scripts. Try a private window with extensions off.
Consent-strict mode is waiting for consent#
With strict consent on, Benson only says hello after a shopper accepts cookies. Accept the banner once on your store. See Consent and storage.
