Stop discount extensions stealing your margin.

Discount extensions like Honey and Rakuten pop up at checkout, try your codes and take the last click. Benson shows the cost, stops them and measures what it earned.

Sample store
A sample store's checkout, as a shopper with a coupon extension sees it. Three pop-ups land in the corners, one over the order summary. The shopper clicks “Try all 8 codes” and the extension types each code into the discount box: two have expired, one isn't valid and five work, among them a VIP-list code, a creator's code and a staff-only code worth $48. It applies the staff code, the $120 order drops to $72 and its cashback link takes the last click: $55.20 gone from one order. Then Benson's code check lists the 7 codes three extensions hold for the store, masked, with how often each is used.

What Benson does

See who's on site

See Honey, Capital One Shopping and Rakuten beside orders, discounts and the last click.

Block with a reason

Set a rule for each extension, then compare revenue per session with shoppers left in a holdout.

Keep your margin

A leaked code takes $10 off a $100 order, then the extension takes commission too. Keep your codes for the right shoppers.

What are coupon extensions costing your store?

They put codes in front of shoppers who never had one, then claim commission on the order. Move the sliders to see what that adds up to at your volume.

Shopify and GA4 can't show you this. Benson measures it on your store.

Assumes 50% of those orders carry a code the extension added, at 15% off, and that it earns 3% commission through your affiliate program.

Example numbersCoupon extensions could be costing you$16,848a year$1,404a month$46a dayEach month that's $1,200 in discounts and $204 in commission, on 100 orders carrying an extension's code.

Know who's in the cart

Your reports show sales and discounts, but not the Honey pop-up beside them. Benson names extensions in real sessions and shows conversion, order value, discount depth and affiliate credit.

  • Extensions seen by name
  • Orders and conversion
  • Discount depth
  • Who got the credit

Don't block on instinct

Block everything and you could lose useful sales. Leave it alone and you keep paying for late clicks. Set rules by extension, page, country or device, then compare revenue per session with a holdout.

  • Rules by extension
  • See it before you block
  • A holdout for every rule

Stop the pop-ups

Benson hides the storefront pop-ups your rules match before shoppers click, keeping those prompts from testing codes or taking the last click.

  • Hide pop-ups by rule
  • A cap on code attempts
Sample storeBenson's pop-up blocker for a sample store: storefront pages only, the blocking mode and the sessions protected.

Your partner brought the shopper. A cashback pop-up got the credit.

  • The click changed

Benson records the affiliate id at arrival and flags a new one after the cart, alongside extension activity.

  • See where it moved

The first click, the cart, the pop-up and the final affiliate claim, in one session trail.

  • Find affected sessions

See extension sessions where the last click changed.

  • Code guessing

Count the codes tried by agents and scripts, then cap attempts per visit.

  • Put a number on it

Estimate redirected commission using your rates, then take the report to your network.

Connect Shopify, WooCommerce or any store with a snippet. See extension traffic as shoppers browse. See it live.

Benson's loader is about 2.5KB and runs after your page. As shoppers browse, extension sightings appear in your dashboard.
  1. Connect your store

Use the Shopify app, WooCommerce plugin or one snippet on another platform.

  2. Check it's live

The install verifies itself, then names extensions as shoppers visit.

  3. Act on what you find

Hide chosen pop-ups, set rules for the codes shoppers try, or put your own offer in front of them.

  4. Keep score

Run each change against a holdout and see what happened to revenue per session.

Know whether the rule paid. Compare revenue with shoppers left alone.

  • Keep a group untouched

A share of extension sessions sees no Benson rule. Compare their orders with sessions where the rule ran.

  • Revenue per session, not pop-up counts

Hidden pop-ups are activity. Revenue per extension session, protected against holdout, tells you if it paid.

  • Show the range, not a single lift

A confidence interval shows the range around each result, so your team can judge how much weight to put on it before changing policy.

  • Take it to the network

Give your network the attribution report, or export the figures for your finance team.

Your other apps want credit for the sale. Make each one prove it.

Put reviews, chat or trust badges through Benson. Load them where they help, and use a holdout to see whether the extra spend follows.
  1. Paste the vendor's code

Benson shows what it will load and what remains in your theme.

  2. Only where it helps

Paid traffic, a country, product pages, the evening. Read each rule in plain English.

  3. Check what it added

A random share goes without the tool. Compare their orders with the shoppers who saw it.

What merchants ask when margin is tight

“We don't get extension traffic.”

Maybe. Benson will tell you in a day, from your own sessions.
