What hotukdeals (formerly Pouch) does on your store

Where does it get your codes?

hotukdeals says its codes come from affiliate networks, often long before they go live, from exclusive codes it negotiates, from its team browsing retailer sites and newsletters, and from member tips that staff check before publishing.[hotukdeals, Oct 2026] (opens the source) Merchants aren't allowed to post deals on the community themselves.[hotukdeals Help, Nov 2025] (opens the source)

How does it make money from your orders?

Its Chrome listing says links inside the extension are monetised, so hotukdeals may earn affiliate commission when shoppers use it.[Chrome Web Store, Oct 2026] (opens the source) If it's in your affiliate program, an order where it applied a code can be credited to it under last-click attribution, whoever actually sent the shopper.

Merchants who want to work with hotukdeals are sent to Atolls, its parent group, through a 'work with us' form and the Pepper Business platform.[hotukdeals Help, Nov 2025] (opens the source) Atolls sells brands access to more than 40 shopping sites, including deals communities in 10 countries and the iGraal and Shoop cashback portals.[Atolls, Oct 2026] (opens the source)

What does it do in a shopper's session?

Its Chrome listing says that once a shopper reaches a checkout page, the extension automatically tests and applies the best available codes.[Chrome Web Store, Oct 2026] (opens the source) The listing, published by Pepper Deals Ltd of London, showed 100,000 users in October 2026.[Chrome Web Store, Oct 2026] (opens the source) hotukdeals announced the extension on its forum on 16 October 2024, saying it was built with the Pouch team.[hotukdeals, Oct 2024] (opens the source)

What does it cost you?

Every order where it applies a code gives away the discount, and the shopper was usually already at your checkout with a full basket. If it's in your affiliate program, the same order can also pay it commission under last-click attribution, on top of the discount, whoever actually brought the shopper.

So the cost is the discount plus any commission on orders that would have happened anyway, and the codes it spreads keep working until you replace them.

What Benson does about it

• Sees hotukdeals (formerly Pouch) sessions on your storefront, and measures their conversion rate, order value and discount depth against everyone else's.
• Hides hotukdeals (formerly Pouch)'s pop-up on your storefront pages, by rules you set.
• Checkout Policies: in sessions where a coupon extension was seen, only the codes on your allowlist work at Shopify checkout.
• Attribution integrity: flags orders where an extension's affiliate click landed after the shopper arrived from someone else.

Can you get your store removed?

For dead codes, yes; for working ones, rarely. hotukdeals tells merchants it's highly likely not to remove a deal that's genuine and available, and that restrictions such as 'eligible customers only' are for the merchant to enforce on its own site.[hotukdeals Help, Nov 2025] (opens the source) Its voucher pages say a code that turns out to be invalid or misused is removed immediately and the retailer told.[hotukdeals, Oct 2026] (opens the source)

It vets every store and can suspend or temporarily remove stores that self-promote or get poor member feedback; it says working with it commercially neither prevents nor causes a ban.[hotukdeals Help, Jul 2026] (opens the source)
